Aleks Arcabascio
Aleks Arcabascio is an LA-based New Yorker who enjoys sharing stories and laughing at what are hopefully the appropriate parts. As a writer, producer, and 1st AD, he’s worked on many fun projects, including “Pixar In Real Life” on Disney+, “Coloring For Grown-Ups” available in bookstores near you, plus TV shows and shorts for Pop TV, Above Average, Improv Everywhere, and other sites you scroll while on the toilet. He is a graduate of the NYU Tisch Film and Television Program and has completed both sketch and improv tracks at Upright Citizens Brigade, in addition to classes at The Groundlings. He co-created “Artistically Challenged,” the critically acclaimed first TV show made for Instagram (Raindance Web Fest Special Festival Prize 2015), and has written many a sitcom pilot and spec script, including the multi-cam pilot “Shortcuts” which was performed by Writers’ Block in front of a packed Lyric Hyperion. His adult animated pilot “Mack, Gran, and Emmy” was recently announced as a semifinalist in the Final Draft Big Break Screenwriting Contest. His sketches have graced the stages of UCBTLA (SketchCram and Sketch Cagematch) and can be seen monthly at The Pack Theater (every 2nd Wednesday as part of the house sketch team “Bonus Feature”), and even social media, if you can believe it!
He is thankful every day that he had the chance to work with Pee-wee Herman & Kermit the Frog, saw Paul McCartney in concert, and has an incredible wife.
