Jeannie Ceglar
Jeannie Ceglar is a queer comedian, writer, and actor based in Los Angeles. With over a decade of experience in improv and sketch comedy, Jeannie has trained and performed at Boom Chicago, iO, UCB, Second City, Groundlings, The Pack Theater, and ComedySportz — so basically, they’ve earned all the imaginary degrees in comedy.
At The Pack Theater, Jeannie writes and performs on Dreamboat, one of the longest-running house sketch teams performing the first Sunday of every month, and previously performed on Peach Comedy. They are a founding member of Demon Comedy, an indie team producing monthly variety and narrative shows across LA, including at The Clubhouse, The Lyric, Westside, and The Glendale Room.
Jeannie is an alumni performer at Made Up Theater in the Bay Area, where they performed in sold-out weekly shows at one of the region’s best-rated comedy theaters. While there, they taught, directed, and developed original improv formats and genre-based shows, helping shape new approaches to long-form and short-form improv.
They also wrote and performed in Those!, the sold-out nonbinary and trans sketch show that packed out The Sherry Theater. Offstage, they co-host and produce the improvised movie podcast Peterbutter and Jeannie, featuring guests like Jimmy Fowlie, Susan Messing, Pam Murphy, Billy Merritt, and Drew Droege.
Jeannie is currently seeking representation for Theatrical, Commercial, and Literary work.
