Mike Hughes
Michael Hughes can be seen on stage at the Pack Theater on the fourth Wednesday of each month with the house sketch team "Umami", and on the first Thursday of each month improvising with "A Very Special Episode".
Mike has written for shows on outlets ranging from NPR to AXS TV, and has written jokes you'd hear on the radio while driving to work each morning. He's produced several movies, including the Slamdance selection "Unicorn Boy," and is currently working on the feature "Pepper and the Kid."
Mike performed in, wrote for, directed and produced the long-running sketch comedy show "Top Story! Weekly" at the late lamented iO West in Hollywood, and has directed well over 300 sketch shows. He started out in comedy as a member of the sketch group "Haja Fresh", which also included Simon Helberg of "The Big Bang Theory", "Drunk History" creator Derek Waters, and Ben Hoffman, better known under his alias country singer Wheeler Walker Jr.
Mike has studied at most of L.A.'s leading comedy schools, including UCB, Groundlings, Second City, and the Pack Theater, and has degrees from fancy schools that he sometimes uses as well.
Michael Hughes is currently seeking representation for Theatrical, Commercial, and Literary.
