Tiera Hollanquest
Tiera Hollanquest is a former non-profit executive turned actor, writer, and comedian from the south suburbs of Chicago. Her work explores the humor embedded in everyday workplace dynamics. She has trained in comedy at UCB and WGIS, and has performed stand-up at renowned venues including The Comedy Store and The Comedy Chateau.
Tiera has developed her skills as a writer by writing numerous short films. Her first short film, Angela’s Tale, won Best Regional Short at the Gary International Black Film Festival. Her comedic short film that she wrote and acted in, Blackjack, won the Audience Choice Award at the Los Angeles 48 Hour Film Festival. Her most recent short, Out of Time, was a semi-finalist at the Collaboration Filmmakers Challenge. She has also been a part of a writer’s room by working on the web series, Homegirls, along with a team of writers. Professionally, she has worked as a contracted Head Writer for a scripted podcast company called Pocket FM. Her series, The Undercover Billionaire, has over 2 million plays on their platform.
