Ian Mather
Ian Mather is an LA-based writer/performer. He was born and raised in Central Kentucky in a town so small he decided to name a region instead. He studied at the Savannah College of Art and Design before moving to NYC. There, he performed improv & sketch comedy regularly at The People's Improv Theater, The Tank, and UCB before moving to LA. He's also a graduate of the Upright Citizens Brigade Training Center. Currently, he’s a writer/performer on The Pack weekend team, Ciao. They’ve recently been featured at SF Sketchfest and ATX Sketchfest in 2025. He’s previously contributed as a comedy writer for Daniel Thrasher’s YouTube channel (Over 5M subs). As a copywriter/social strategist, he's written social and digital content for Portlandia, Documentary Now, Sherman’s Showcase, Brockmire, The Film Independent Spirit Awards, Funny or Die, IFC, AMC Networks, HBO, Showtime, The Rich Eisen Show, and more. Recently he's been featured in national commercials for Spectrum and Truly Hard Seltzer.
