Kara O’Connor
Kara O’Connor is a native New Yawkah and current LA-based comedian with training from The Pack, The Groundlings, Second City, and the late, great Gary Austin. She cut her sketch comedy teeth in Seattle with the all-female group Day Job. Her successful collaboration with Day Job brought her to festivals around the country, including Chicago’s Women’s Funny Fest and San Francisco Sketch Fest. During the Covid-lockdown, Kara continued honing her comedy skills on TikTok and garnered over 30k followers through her political and satirical comedy sketches. In 2020, Kara lambasted Georgia political candidate Kelly Loeffler in a sketch impersonating the businesswoman. The video went viral and was even retweeted by THE Mark Hamill. Kara likes to think that video (in small part) helped to defeat Loeffler’s campaign. She is currently a part of the house team PRENUP at The Pack, where they perform every second Wednesday of the month! She’s performed sketch comedy for over a decade, and is currently building her indie and theater resume. She owns many… many wigs.
Kara is currently seeking representation in Theatrical and Commercial.
