Barton Lewis watched a lot of musicals on VHS tape growing up and attended New York University studying music, theatre, and dramatic literature. While at NYU he workshopped with the New York Neo-Futurists and got involved at the Upright Citizens Brigade, then moved to LA and attended the UCB, Improv Space, and Pack Theater improv programs as well as the Pack sketch program. He is a writer-performer with house sketch team Wiggle Room, appearing at the Pack every fourth Sunday of the month at 9 PM. An accomplished piano player, he has accompanied various improv and sketch shows at the Pack, Westside Comedy Theater, the Clubhouse, and the Improv Space. He has performed both solo and with bands at venues in New York including the Knitting Factory and Sidewalk, and in LA at the Sayers Club, State House, and the sadly gone but not forgotten back room at the Pig ’n’ Whistle.
