Neal Dandade has been performing/teaching improv and sketch for as long as he’s been disappointing his Indian parents by not going to medical school (since 2006). In Chicago, Neal was a member of the Second City National Touring Company and created online content for the Second City Network. He also performed regularly at iO Chicago and was a writer/performer at The Annoyance, where he was featured in the sketch show, Invisible World, and the improv show, Skinprov, both directed by Annoyance founder, Mick Napier. While in Chicago, Neal attended the School at Steppenwolf and completed an M.F.A. in Writing for Screen and Stage at Northwestern University. As part of his coursework, Neal participated in the Chris Rock Internship at Comedy Central in New York, which allowed him the opportunity to shadow writers/performers on Jon Stewart’s Daily Show and The Colbert Report. After graduation, Neal was invited to become adjunct faculty at Northwestern, where he created/taught Improv for Writers, a class for Radio/TV/Film majors designed to help them break from the regimented world of screenwriting using the spontaneity of improvisation. Since moving to Los Angeles in 2016, Neal was a performer in the CBS Diversity Showcase. Additional acting credits include Shrink (Seeso), Kevin from Work (ABC Family), and Sirens (TNT), in addition to regional and national commercials.
