Writing for Actors! - Kristina Grosspietsch (June 14)

$75.00

June 14th (One-Day-Only) Sunday 2-5pm.
Did your reps tell you to "just go write something for yourself"? Have you been staring at a blank page for weeks, months, or even years? Are you an actor looking to branch out, but are unsure of how to even start?

Writing for Actors will push actors past the horror of the blank page, teaching actors how to mine their own lives for inspiration and emotional truth while setting up the building blocks of what every story needs. We'll get writing immediately, learning how to ignore the inner critic and let ideas flow.

Many actors don't even believe they can write.  But what actors often don't realize is that they already understand the major writing fundamentals. Want. Obstacle. Subtext. Stakes. Relationship. This workshop teaches them to take the skills and instincts they already have, and transform them into tools of creation. Participants write immediately, share early, and leave with the understanding of how to build a story, a few ideas for a short/pilot/live show to start workshopping, and, most importantly, the confidence to begin.

No prerequisites required!

This class will be held in the class spaces next door to The Pack Theater.
