Intro to Improv - Lauren Knutti (Aug 10)

Mondays 7-10pm, (8 weeks) Starting August 10th!
Intro to Improv is an introduction to long-form improvisation designed for beginners. You'll spend most of class on your feet practicing scene work, because the best way to learn improv is to do improv.

You'll build a strong foundation by developing active listening, agreement, commitment, creating a strong base reality, and collaborating with your scene partners to create grounded scenes.

Whether you're an actor, writer, or simply looking to meet new people and have fun, this class offers a supportive place to learn, play, and laugh a lot.

This class culminates in a performance with students from the other improv classes.

No prerequisites required!

DATES: August 10 - October 12
(no classes on August 31 or Labor Day: September 7.)

This class will be held at the Pack Theater space!

About The Teacher

Lauren Knutti is so flattered you asked! She’s a writer, actor, and improviser who regularly performs at UCB and locally/nationally with the long-running improv show Fuck This Month. Perhaps you’ve seen her in a SXSW film, Jimmy Kimmel Live! sketch, or yeast infection cream commercial? As a teacher, she focuses on team support, embracing every choice, bold characters, and the joy of discovery. Ask her about her mini schnauzer or how Magic Mike Live moved her to tears.
