About The Teacher
Ell C. Dellorso is a boundary pushing performer that fuses their background in Clown, Theatre, and Comedy into a jaw dropping, tear filled, laughter inducing performance style. Ell brings their background in theater and musical theater to classes and pairs that with their years of experience as a mainstay at UCB, where they regularly performed character, improv, and sketch. Their desire is to blend this experience and knowledge with their extensive work in Clown, to bring you a uniquely invigorating class experience. Ell's unique training allows them to cross genres and speak to students from not only a clown perspective, but that of character, theater, and improv. Not to be forgotten! Ell's experience as a Queer performer is infused in everything they do and their hope is to cultivate a warm, welcoming, and creatively fulfilling experience for the multitude of queer performers! (As well as everyone that walks through the door!).
Ell can regularly be seen at the Elysian theater, performing their award nominated solo show, "The Life and Times of a Gay Bug", which premiered at the Elysian's Spaghetti Festival, along with their electric ensemble production, "Catch a Betch". Additionally, you can spot Ell on the big screen... or whatever tv is in your apartment... in various commercials and tv shows for Peacock, Amazon, Cricket Wireless, and FX. Ell sold their first project in 2019, aptly named "For the Throne"- a Game of Thrones parody- to a social media startup and is working on becoming social media famous... they've got this.
